Movement Pillar: Foundation

Lay the groundwork. Build the body.

Root is your Mat Pilates fundamentals class, the ground floor of everything we build at Rooted. Here, we strip it back to basics (basics doesn't mean easy). You will learn the core Pilates principles, master Pilates breath, and begin developing the mind–body connection so you understand how you move and why it matters.

In this class, every major muscle group gets attention, your spine will move in all directions and there is a strong focus on form. Root will restore movement your body has been craving.

What to expect:

✔ Build true core stability
✔ Strengthen your mind–body connection (key to success!)
✔ Understand how to move, not just follow along

Root is the class that makes everything else possible. You will leave feeling connected, longer, and stronger, with a body you can trust and a mind that knows how to support it.

Important Details

  • Arrive: Doors open 15 minutes early so you can settle in, breathe, and claim your spot. But don’t be late—class starts on time & the doors close. Pilates waits for no one.
  • Shoes? Nope. Grippy socks are mandatory. Forgot yours? We’ve got cute ones for sale.
  • Bring: Water + clothes you can actually move in. (Reminder: no shoes. Ever.)
  • Relax: We get it—showing up can feel intimidating. But you’re in good hands. Our instructors will guide you every step of the way. This is a safe space for women to move, reconnect, and just be. Come exactly as you are.
