The Half Primary Ashtanga Yoga class offers a supportive, intelligently guided introduction to traditional Ashtanga practice. Designed for both newcomers and seasoned practitioners, this class focuses on alignment, breath, and consistency; the roots of a sustainable practice.

Rooted in the classic Mysore tradition, this 60–75 minute guided class moves through the foundational postures of the first half of the Ashtanga Primary Series, helping students build strength, mobility, and body awareness from the ground up.

What to Expect

Structured Flow: a consistent, set sequence beginning with Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar A & B), followed by standing postures and the seated series up to Navasana (Boat Pose). Repetition builds familiarity, confidence, and depth.

Breath-Led Movement: each movement is linked to breath (vinyasa), creating a moving meditation that cultivates focus, internal heat, strength, and flexibility.

Accessible for All Levels: thoughtful modifications and props are offered, making the practice approachable for beginners while still challenging and refining for experienced yogis.

Intentional Closing Sequence: class concludes with gentle backbends, optional inversions, and a guided Savasana, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to integrate the work.
