Aging well isn't fate. Its formula.

We will meet you exactly where you are, but we won’t leave you there.
You don’t need more sweat.
You need science backed movement that actually changes how you live in your body.
Rooted is for women who are done guessing about their bodies and ready to move with intention, rebuild strength, and age with power.
We rebuild what most fitness ignores:
Restoring the foundation when your body feels disconnected
Posture, alignment and breath that change how you carry yourself
Muscle mass and bone density that protect you as you age
This isn’t about bouncing back. We don’t chase the past — we reconnect to our bodies and build what’s next.

Every class we offer lives within one of our Movement Pillars: Foundation, Control, Strength, and Recovery but every BODY’s journey begins with our class ROOT, under our Foundation pillar, where posture, breath, and core reconnect. From there, you move through Control, Strength, and Recovery to build a movement plan that creates longevity.
Progress with Purpose
To protect your body and build safely, we require three ROOT classes before entering FORME, and strongly recommend three FORME sessions before booking FORGE.
This isn’t restriction, it’s progression.
We don’t rush strength. We build it.

Breath · Alignment · Body Awareness
Root is where you relearn your body from the inside out. We rebuild the fundamentals . Your core, your posture, your alignment — so every movement after this is stronger, safer, and more optimal.

Precision · Mobility · Stability
Forme refines how you move. Take your foundations and put them in motion. Expect controlled sequencing that challenges stability and muscular endurance, moving through seamless transitions in one steady flow.

Load · Muscle · Power
Forge blends Pilates principles with heavy weights and progressive overload. We build muscle, bone density, and the kind of strength that carries you through life. Muscle is non-negotiable at Rooted.

Mobility · Breath · Rebalance
Restore isn’t passive. It’s guided mobility and light Pilates designed to unlock tension, improve range of motion, and bring your body back to balance. We move gently; restoring space in the joints, breath in the ribs, and calm in the nervous system.
Where are you located?
Rooted Pilates is inside the Bonnyville Business Centre at 4816 51st Ave.
There’s plenty of parking, so no need to stress. Just enter through the main doors and head upstairs-stairs for the strong, elevator if you’re injured (or feeling rebellious). Hang a right and we’re the second door on the left.
Do I need Pilates experience to join?
Gosh no. Everyone starts with Root so you get the experience and foundation you need before moving on to other classes. We’re quite literally in business to teach you Pilates, not expect you to already know it.
How do I choose a class?
You don’t - we do. Everyone starts with Root to nail the basics.
From there, our Movement Pillars guide your journey:
Forme emphasizes flow, control, and mobility.
Forge focuses on strength and heavier loads.
Restore supports recovery, flexibility, and balance.
Your choice depends on what your body needs most, and many members enjoy a mix for the best long-term results.
How many people are in a class?
Small on purpose. Our Reformer classes max out at 7 people and our Mat classes max out at 12. We keep it that way because results don’t come from being lost in a crowd; they come from personal attention, proper form, and an instructor who actually knows your name (and your sneaky habits).
At Rooted Pilates, you’re never just another body in the room.
What should I wear?
Think stretchy, not strappy. Leggings, a tank, maybe a tee, basically anything you can comfortably bend, twist, and plank in. Leave the jeans, belts, and Spanx at home (they won’t help you here). Grip socks are your best friend, and trust us, you’ll thank yourself for bringing them.
Are grip socks mandatory
Yes. No barefoot rebels here. They keep you safe, keep our reformers clean, and stop you from sliding off mid-plank. Forgot yours? We sell them, and yes, they’re cute.
How early do I arrive for class?
Doors open 15 minutes before class. We respect your time, so every class starts and ends on schedule. There’s no late entry, Pilates waits for no one.
How does the credit system work?
Any recurring membership or flex pack comes with a set number of credits, and you get to spend them however you like.
Mat classes = 1 credit
Reformer classes = 1.5 credits
Reformer costs more credits because she’s the expensive one (literally, those machines aren’t cheap). Smaller classes (7 max) , specialized equipment, and extra attention make her the premium option. Think of her as the designer handbag of Pilates , she takes a little more, but she can deliver a lot more too.
The good news is you’re in charge. Some weeks you might go all mat, other weeks you might splurge on reformer, or mix them up. Your body, your credits, your call.
Why is there a late cancel or no-show fee?
Your reservation holds a reformer and an instructor’s time. When cancellations happen too late, it prevents someone else from taking your spot. The fee ensures fairness for all members, helps us manage class sizes, and supports the commitment needed to see real results.
Is the Reformer safe for Seniors?
Yes, yes & more yes! The reformer is basically the smooth operator of fitness equipment. Low impact, fully adjustable, and spring-loaded to support you. It builds strength without bullying your joints.
New class drops, limited spots, workshops, pre & post natal series, and special offers hit inboxes before Instagram. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
